Base width on aquarium stands for 20 long or 30 g?

I am going to make my own cabinet, for my 20 long and i was just wondering if anyone out there could measure there prefab aquariums for me at the base or just the width, I want to keep it as narrow as possible without sacrificing stability any answers would be a great help

1. 20L are 30'' by 12'' and 30's are 36'' by i believe 12'' you'll maybe want to go an inch over in each direction, if you want to keep the stand looking sleek and trim without sacrificing stability, then make the base and extra inch or two wider and longer. P.S. 2x4 wood construction would be more than adaquate. good luck

3. the actual size for a 20long is 30 1/4" by 12 1/2" and 30 gallon is 36 1/4"by112 5/8" when build add an inch to all the measurement and it will give you a 1/2" overhang make sure you build it strong enough a 20 long is 225lb filled and a 30 gallon is 343 lbs good luck I have built all my own stands
