  1. This was not caused by playing too laud. Smeone bumped into the grill. You may be able to pull out the dent in the speapers by carfuly putting a piece of tape on them and gently pulling. Use a very sticky tape. The rattle though is not likely to be from a dent in the dust cap of the woofer. A dent there is not usually audible. More probable causes are a torn surround, the folded flexible ring that holds the cone to the frame. That will require a re-cone job. Cheaper than a new speaker. Could also be that the speaker was knocked out of alignment in the magnet. I would recomend a new driver if Tannoy will sell one.
  2. Charles is correct. You can get your speakers repaired at Orange county Speaker Repair. They also sell repair kits. http://www.speakerrepair.com/index.html
  3. You can pick up a brand new pair of Mercury M3's for less than £100 nowadays. They were never "very expensive" to begin with, though (the suggested retail was £250) - Tannoy's "very expensive" speakers sell for over £20,000 a pair... However, Tannoy do keep a good stock of spares. You should be able to pick up a new replacement driver for about £25.
