How can I mount bookshelf speakers to stands? Does the plate have to be the same size as the speaker?

The speakers don't have any mounting holes, etc.

1. It should be no problem...you'll need about four small wood screws for each speaker if the stand attaches to the back of the speaker. If the speaker sits on top of the stand then you should be ok with no screws. Just make sure the stands are sturdy enough and not too "tippy".
