I bought a decorative indoor (plastic) ficus plant .. but no pot! How do I get it to stand in a pot?
I bought a 6 ft. ficus plant (plastic) for my living room .. but it only came in a tiny planter pot .. how do I get it to stand in a regular pot? what am I supposed to put in there to take up the excess room so it doesn't fall over? do I fill it with dirt?? It says to purchase a "decorative pot" .. but where? and what do I put in the "decorative pot" to make my ficus stand up tight so it doesn't lean?? thanks!

- Try florist foam
- You will need to get some florist foam or craft foam to brace it in the vertical position, and then some decorative moss to cover the foam so it can't be seen.
- Florist foam first or set the original pot in the new one ...then fill with pea gravel or some type of small stones...you can purchase decorative pots at nearly every plant store, nursery, or like Home Depot or Lowes... Wishing you an erect Ficus~!~
- do what 'shar' said, put smaller pot in larger decorative one, fill in around it with smooth gravel, then cover the gravel and smaller pot with spanish moss.
- You can get a decorative pot in most craft stores or garden centers. I would stand it in the pot and fill around it with sprat foam insulation. It will swell to fit the pot and support the plant. Cover the foam with some sheet moss.
