Is spinach a standing plant or vine?

1. it is a root vegetable therefore standing as opposed to a vine

3. Although I haven't grown it myself, I believe it's a standing plant like lettuce.

6. Standing plant. It doesn't take up much room in the garden, so you can plant them fairly close together. Pinch off the outer leaves when they are ready, and the inner leaves will continue to grow. You can harvest spinach for a couple weeks this way. Good luck on your gardening.
7. It is a standing plant ,much like lettuce or Swiss chard.If you cut it with a knife or scissors part way down and don't pull the roots .It will continue to grow back all season.
