Do I need to do anything to my Lavander plant for the Spring?
Last year late Spring I planted my Lavander plant (perineal?). I did nothing to it before the first frost, so there is still the dead plant standing in my garden. Do I need to trim the dead plant to the ground and wait for the new plant to grow, or should I leave the whole plant alone? Thank you. I'm very new to gardening.

- It sounds to me like it's dead, but I wouldn't touch it. If new growth is going to happen, it will be soon.
- I have a bunch of lavendar plants, and I've tried both of your options. I've pruned them back and they've done fine and I've left last year's growth on - also did fine. Assuming you're in a zone where lavendar is hardy (which is most of the US) you should be okay either way.
- You could trim and tidy the plant up abit, but lavender gets new shoots, from the old so do not trim to low.
