- Go to a craft store and buy some floral oasis or styrofoam. Cut out the shape you want (they have disks, too, which would be perfect) You can get some sculpey (colored clay) or even playdough, roll it out and drape it and cut out shapes, etc. Or to be real creative you can do the same with material and attach with floral "S" pins.
- The shop in town that sells wedding cakes uses Styrofoam and cardboard and just decorate them like a regular cake.
- michaels arts & crafts, party city, allans party supply in downey. Cakeland in downey
- You can buy styrofoam disks already in cake sizes at a craft store.
- dummy cakes are always the styrofoam disks from the crafts shops. You cut them to the size you need or the shape you need. Then ice and decorate them as you would any cake. You need them to make a cake stand?? A cake stand is a platform on a spindle that twirls around so that it is easier to decorate the cake. These are made of plastic or aluminum with ball bearings so they turn easily.
