Is there any way to make a spinning cake stand?

I want to make a homemade one, if possible. I feel its easier decorating a cake that is spinnable. thx!

1. Do you have a lazy susan? If not, then I would just buy a cheap lazy susan. By the time you buy all the parts for the cake stand it will have cost the same as buying one in the first place. Pam
2. Take a bowl and turn it upside and sit your plate on it and turn it slowly as you frost it.
3. it wouldnt be difficult. it your looking for a long lasting one than get a real heavy, solid base. find around piece of metal or evan a round cookie sheet upside down and then cut a small hole the the base enough for a rod to connect to the toand just slide in
4. Use a heavy duty lazy susan elevated on a sturdy bowl. go to the food network and look for Alton Brown's cake recipes. He recently did a show on cakes and cake decorating.
