Do you think reality tv shows are scripted?
Do you think producers tell the people on reality shows what to say or what to do? For the most part I think it's real and unscripted but occasionally it seems written. Example would be on one of the episodes of Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami. In the final episode Scott was sitting on the bed holding one of his sons shoes and crying. That scene seemed like they told Scott to do that. I don't know, just wondering what people think.

- There are a few moments where things are staged (like the reactions shots in the huge lines in American Idol). However, most of the stuff flows the way it does due to the editing. That's where most of the 'television magic' happens. It is the editing that plays a huge part in how you feel towards certain people on the shows.
- YES! not all the time but in another episode of Kourtney and Khloe take Miami, when scott punches the mirror and then koutney and kim get home kourtney says there's blood all over the serena and lily sheets, in real life if you saw blood on your sheets you would not say the brand.. i thought that was a little scripted.. also in the episode before that, she wakes Kim up at like 4 in the morning and they are both not wearing any make up, and then later when she walks to her room Kourtney has a full face of make up on with her eyes all done up, so that makes people wonder whether the show is real or not, also the same thing happens with Kim on Keeping up with the Kardashians, when Khloe finds outo her ex boyfriend is cheating on her kim isnt wearing any make up and then she is.. so i think they script some of it, or take different shots of the same scene
- Not all of them but for the ones like Kourtney and Khloe, they most definitely are. There wouldn't be anything worth watching if they didn't vamp it up a bit. The episode where Kourtney burns Khloe's private parts while giving her a hot wax, fake as anything. Cake Boss is another one. There was a scene where one of the bakers was decorating a cake tower. I noticed the icing was messy and the cake was disturbed under it. Then he knocked it over and the top portion flew off. I wonder how many times they rehearsed that scene to get the cake to fall just right.
- i belive the american ones are aside from the (some scenes may have been created from entertainment sht u sometimes get) it seems false and put on and its one of the reasons i really hate them english ones 100% are not though i know this as live streaming is aired 24/7 online and you can just know its all real and this might sound really cynical but i really belive there is an element of acting in most american reality shows it doesnt come across natural at all (im just talking about mtv kind of stuff i have never seen the american big brother)
