Which food network shows do you watch, which are annoying and which should get the boot?

I have recently noticed that my TV is constantly on the food network show, with the occasional change to the travel channel for Man vs Food. Which Food network shows do you watch on a regular, which are just flat out annoying and which two shows would you get rid of? Me... Keep Dinner Impossible (and I would put it on more than once a week-that show is just toooo good.) The Diner show with Guy Anything Paula Deen Tyler's Ultimate Big Daddy and Sandra Lee. Annoying Down home with the Neelys-I like their recipes, but it's just something about them that rubs me the wrong way. Restaurant Secrets-again, like the recipes, but the chef on there seems fake. Giada at home-have never tried any of her recipes and don't want to. Boot Quick Fix meals-I mean, does anyone actually watch that show and I hate to say it but the ten dollar meals-I really wanted her to win when she competed on the next food network star but I have not seen one recipe she has made that I would try. Getting the boot 1. R

  1. I really like Paula Deen, Gina and Pat Neely and Tyler Florence. That's because I've tried several of their recipes and they are so delicious. Gina and Pat can get a little annoying, but their recipes definitely work. I am annoyed by the Secrets of a Restaurant Chef lady. Her "secrets" seem a little too complicated for the average home kitchen and a little too complicated. I'm also annoyed by most of Rachael Ray's recipes, they seem to involve too many steps or too many uncommon ingredients. I also don't like Aaron McCargo for the same reason. If you use so many steps and uncommon ingredients then the recipe should be absolutely great!!! I haven't found that to be true with the things I've tried from them. I do somewhat like Quick Fix meals because she morphs the same ingredients into two different meals. I really am liking Sandra Lee's Money Saving Meals. They do help you save money using simple low cost ingredients. Thumbs up, esp. in this economy. Last but not least, I really like Throwdown with Bobby Flay and Iron Chef America. Just very entertaining.
  2. Any of the Rachael Ray shows , throwdown with Bobby flay, Dinner Impossible Ace of Cakes, And my favorite is Good Eats
  3. I don't like the cooking shows that are move showmanship than cooking. I don't like loud show-off chefs. I like a lot of the Cake Challenges. In the past few years, there seem to more traveling than actual cooking shows, I can learn more watching a Bobby Flay throw down than Guy Fieri running from diner to diner, (I know the throw downs are held in different cities.) Of course if Guy or Rachel ever visit my brother's pizza place in Denver (Marco's Coal Fired Pizza) I'd probably change my mind about the two of them. KEEP Any show featuring Bobby Flay, Tyler Florence or Giada DeLaurentis Chopped Iron Chef Next Food Network Star Cupcake Wars Alton Brown-Good Eats Big Daddy, but I wouldn't cook much of what he makes, too much cholesterol Melissa d"Arabian, but they could have given her a better venue, the $10 limits her CAN LIVE WITHOUT The Neely's and Paula Dean, recipes are way to high in fat and both are way too loud and over the top Ace of Cakes, can't stand Duff Goldman Guy Fieri, another over the top chef who doesn't cook Chef vs City Alton Brown-Fish Canyon Wars Dinner Impossible Rachael Ray, I used to really like her shows, now she is bit annoying.
  4. I love the Food Network. Shows I watch: Chopped Iron Chef America Throwdown with Bobby Flay Next Food Network Star Diner, Driveins, and Dives Good Eats Barefoot Contessa I like Bobby Flay, Guy Fieri, Alton Brown, Ina Garten. Rachael Ray is starting to get on my nerves, as is Paula Deen and Giada. I do not watch the Neely's or Big Daddy's House, although I was happy when he won the Next Food Network Star. I've never watched Tyler Florence. I've seen Dinner impossible, not a fan. So, pretty much if they kept Chopped, Iron Chef and Throwdown, I'd be happy.
  5. i love chopped...and semi home-made with sandra lee
