What is up with TLC and all the family reality TV shows?
Come on! Does anyone else think they have gone a little overboard? I mean Little People Big World and The Little Couple and pretty much the same. Then Jon and Kate plus 8 and its duplicate not so popular show table for 12. Then there is the Duggar's TV show 18 kids and counting. How much is too much?

- little people big world paved the way for the little couple...but they aren't the same at all. jon and kate + 8 and a table for 12 are similar...but the mom and dad seem to get along better, the father is a police officer, and the mom isn't a control freak...therefore, the show is too realistic and probably won't last long. honestly, i think jon and kate lasted cuz (secretly) a lot of people were waiting for them to implode...little people big world- the parents are heading for a divorce. i don't think the other shows will do as well. to the poster below....i just wanted to say that TLC has some really cute new shows...i LOVE 'say yes to the dress', 'king of the crown' (i LOVE that guy, he is so darn cute with his little sayings: 'i can't fit 10lbs of sugar in a 5 lb bag!) LOVE THAT! OH and CAKE BOSS is cute, its obviously totally staged, but cute regardless. little couple will only be interesting if she gets pregnant or adopts soon, but i don't think they will do either. the couple (alone) are really vanilla and boring. i think TLC is (seriously) going to make them have kids to keep viewers! i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't turn out they made them sign something promising they were gonna do it soon. anyway, TLC does have some other good shows. not sure why they are still called TLC (the learning channel) should be TRC (the reality channel).
- I agree with you. I'm so bored with these shows I hardly watch anything on TLC anymore. I am especially tired of Jon & Kate. I can't even stomach hearing about them or watching them. Enough already!!!! They are so overexposed I want them to go away permanently. And yet regardless of what network I watch there they are. Why can't the media understand that we aren't interested? These shows are good to watch maybe once every five years just to update us on the kids. But to have them on television on a weekly basis is definitely overkill. Not interested; get it through your heads, TLC, we're not watching anymore.
