Building exhibits at a natural history museum?

What path should I follow if I want to participate in building exhibits for a natural history museum, as a part/full time job at the museum itself. Should I study arts and crafts? I already have grade in graphic design. And I'm quite handy. I always wanted to work there, just because I like old dinosaur bones, and I'd like to build up the dino's and like take care of the diorama's and such.

1. YOu could volunteer at the museum. I would also contact the dept that does dioramas, exhibit development & interview them. It is a multidisciplinary approach: carpenters, painters, botanists etc.
