  1. If "Avenue Q" is still running, then that is an absolute must. Funniest show I've seen on Broadway in a long, long time. The Addams Family starts in March, so you'd be just in time for that, although since it hasn't started yet I can't tell you if it is any good or not :) Billy Elliot and Jersey Boys are also great, although perhaps a bit too "grown up" for your 12 year old sister, unless she really is into this stuff. Stomp is also pretty cool, but I _think_ they might be closing this fall, better Google it.
  2. Avenue Q is great, but NOT child appropriate. I would say 12 is too young to see it. In The Heights is one of my favorites right now, great show; there's really something for everyone in it. I honestly can't tell you enough how much I love it! Billy Elliot comes HIGHLY recommended. I've only seen the movie (love it), but I have several friends who can't get enough of the musical. The story is wonderful, and I really haven't heard a bad review. Jersey Boys is another one of my favorites, but it does have strong language and a few adult themes. I've seen it twice on Broadway, so I'm a big fan, but you might want to have your parents check it out, just so they're comfortable with everything. I could really go on for days, but I would say In The Heights or Billy Elliot. If you're willing to see a non-musical (some people are, some people aren't) go see The 39 Steps. It's HILARIOUS. Enjoy your trip!!! :)
  3. Wicked and Lion King are both great you can't go wrong with those. Marry Poppins and Wintuk by Cirque du Soleil is also nice and they might like that :) You can get discount Broadway tickets at: http://www.smarternewyork.com
