how long do filmings for reality tv shows like beauty and the geek last?

i was watching the beauty and the geek premiere a couple of weeks ago and i noticed that people were already getting eliminated that SAME night they were introduced. how long do these reality shows usually get filmed for? like how many days in between eliminations? i thought they last like 3 months the least? im beginning to think the season gets filmed in like a month. thanks.

1. I think some are like 2 weeks and have eliminations like every night but some shows with more contestants take a month
2. My best guess would be a month or so with exception to big brother
