What are good anime shows that have science fiction/ fantasy characters in them?

The anime I have watched are Inuyasha, but i want a anime show that is more like the movie Munto. Have any good shows? Thanks for answering!

Actually theres a series that came out last year i think about the movie Munto, is more detailed and i think its really good it's called Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai (yes really long title) you can watch it here http://www.animeseason.com/sora-o-miageru-shoujo-no-hitomi-ni-utsuru-sekai/ it has 9 episodes. 3. A good Hayao Miyazaki sci-fi film is Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. You might like it.

The animation is a little different in some parts, but still a very enjoyable anime Scrapped Princess http://www.anime-planet.com/anime/scrapped-princess A scifi adventure about a girl being protected by her siblings with everyone else out to get her.

8. Solty Rei!!! One of the most underrated animes of all times. :( But one of the best!! You could also try Trigun, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, and Chobits.
