Is it normal that my Paeonia ' Festiva Maxima' flower plant is falling over like that?

I have a Paeonia ' Festiva Maxima' flower plant and the stem is falling over or the plant isn't standing upright is there a way to make the plant stand straight without using wooden sticks because i tried that already? Is it normal that my Paeonia ' Festiva Maxima' flower plant is falling over like that?

  1. Put a wire tomato cage around it.
  2. There are peony cages that come in different sizes If you put a cage or "peony ring" around plants before they get too tall, plants may then flop onto the top wire and then break there. The trick is to get tall enough cages or rings to hold plants upright near the tops.
  3. Peony flowers are so big and heavy that they commonly make the stalks bend over. They make rings mounted on legs (usually three legs) that you put over the plant as it's growing and the rings support the stems. The rings and legs are hidden by the foliage. You have to put them over the plants while they're growing, before they bloom.
