  1. You can buy little stickers that say "Plaintiff's Exhibit" and mark them P-1, P-2, etc. Really, as long as they are marked so the court and the court clerk can identify them, that's all you need. You introduce the exhibits once you've laid the foundation for each one. Here's a source for stickers, but there are others: http://jmsteno.com/shop/shop/category.asp?catid=21
  2. letter them. Read the Judges' Part Rules. Each Judge sets rules for how to present documents, letters etc... in his/her court room. Some judges want it lettered and some may for what ever reason want it numbered. But most courts I know letter exhibits.
  3. Since you are representing yourself, you will need to research free literature online and at your local library (dust off your library card) to find information about representing ones-self in a court of law.
  4. Here is a link to web-based training about Michigan's court rules: http://www.micourtrules.com/ATutor/login.php Here is a link to Michigan's rules: http://coa.courts.mi.gov/rules/ You need the rules of civil procedure. You may have to file a joint exhibit list with the defendants. I haven't read all of the rules, but you should. Also, you check with the specific court where your case is filed. They may have "local rules" that apply in addition to the state-wide rules above.
