- First, you have to visit The Wild Animal Park. It is awesome! As for the San Diego Zoo, I enjoyed the Rain Forest Aviary, Flamingo Lagoon, Wings of Australia, Monkey Trails, and the koala bears. Allow enough time to experience everything the zoo has to offer. There are so many more great exhibits and shows. The sea lion show is really nice. Explore the zoo and enjoy! Make sure to wear good walking shoes, because you'll be doing plenty of walking at the zoo and the Wild Animal Park.
- to tell you the truth everything there is interesting. and with all due respect to the person above me but the wild animal park is pretty boring not to mention extremely hot. they have a few exibits and they have a huge tour that takes you "around africa" but thats about it. the zoo has a lot of interesting exibits like pandas, monkeys, lions, tigers, bears, birds, a huge reptile exibit, literally everything. you can find out more information online.
- The San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park are two different things. they are both run by the same non-profit organization, but they are in different locations and present different aspects of animal life. The San Diego zoo is like other typical zoo: animals in cages (but really, it's a lot nice than it sounds). There's much to see here and it really depends on what you like. For example see here for some "best of the zoo" suggestions. http://www.san-diego-travels.com/zoo.html http://www.san-diego-travels.com/san-diego-zoo.html The Wild Animal park is more like an animal preserve. Animals have large chunks of land where they can wander around. You can see the animals far away but they are not in cages. There is a place in "Heart of Africa" where you can feed biscuits to the giraffes. There's an aviary where you can feed the lorikeets (birds) while they stand on your arm. If you want to ride the truck and it drives you right up to the rhinos, then you are talking about the Wild Animal Park, not the zoo. It used to cost $75 (on top of admission). If you want to see the Panda Bears, they are at the Zoo, not the Wild Animal Park.
