did anyone ever make cake in a crockpot?
I have a recipe that I printed out from a cooking show for making carrot cake in the crockpot. When I saw the episode on tv, I could have sworn that what she did was put an oven safe bowl inside the crockpot instead of putting the food directly in there. But on my printed directions, it doesnt say anything about this. It tells to put the food right in the crockpot. Please help! this is for Easter Sunday! I got this from Semi-Homemade cooking with Sandra Lee on the Food Network.

- Yes i have i made a mixed dried fruit cake like a granny cake and my family loved it.
- I baked a chocolate cake in my crockpot, used the liner that came w/ the pot. I put paper towels over top before putting the lid on to catch the steam and keep it from being soggy and not baking. I had to change the towel several times.Watch it close, mine almost burnt.,
- Totally doable and now even easier with the new Slow Cooker Liners by Reynolds: http://www.reynoldspkg.com/reynoldskitchens/en/promotions/scl_main.asp The added bonus is you can fold it over cakes and meatloaf to keep it moist - also works great with bread pudding recipes. Bon Appetite!
- nope never have but i have made it in the microwave in a stoneware pan.. and loved it!
