Why do people watch reality tv shows?

1. It's actually kinda funny to watch them sometimes..like watching a comedy!! But I also like to watch them because even though my life seems screwed up, at least it's not as screwed up as those people's lives!!!
2. Just to see how stupid people are and can be. I do not watch them.
3. i love the entertainment and how its "real".
4. Why do people watch ANYTHING on TV? To get away from their own lives. Also, I like shows like Toddlers & Tiaras, Little Miss Perfect, The Real Housewives of Orange County, Jon & Kate Plus 8 because I'm just fascinated by them (not necessarily in a good way). And I watch shows like American Idol, Top Chef & Take Home Chef because I'm just in awe of their talent, wish I could sing/cook like that, as far as the cooking shows go, I really can't even learn how to cook like them by watching because most of the stuff they cook is WAY too complicated for me, but I still like watching it! If I learn anything though, it would be from the Australian chef on Take Home Chef, I just like him, think he's cool, he's nice.
5. I'm with justlookin on this one, I like to see how different people live and I especially like the home fix up programs - many ideas are a little off the wall but sometimes I get some good ideas

9. Probably the same reason you like to watch whatever shows you enjoy watching. I love I Love Money...its so funny. I esp love the entertainer & am pissed that hes gone :( I personally cant stand: Scrubs, Designing Women, Fraiser, Fresh Prince Of Bell-Aire, How I Met Your Mother, Will & Grace and other shows like that...but i dont go around asking people that DO like it WHY they like it.
