When do they record the "confession boxes" on reality tv shows?

I noticed that on most reality tv shows they're always wearing the same clothes in the confession boxes in every episode. so i just wanted to know, do they record them at the end of the season, or episode, or what?

1. to my knowledge some shows record them in intervals of a week or 2, like each cast member must do at least 1 a week and some shows they do at the end of the season editors manipulate/ combine footage and confessionals to get an effect kinda like the "little voice" in the peoples heads in a humorus characature form of that cast member. the vh1 dating shows they actually have the cast members sitting there (at the end of the season) watching the footage and just film their thoughts and reactions to it.
