What do you think reality tv shows?

I personally think they are getting out of hand with all these reality shows. I just noticed the other day that there is a channel called reality tv. I don't understand what all the hype is about. They have a reality show for just about anything you can think of.

1. they are getting old and played out. They are running out of original ideas. Hopefully they will phase themselves out soon and the reality tv channel will be gone.
2. I really like watching them. I think they do need to stop though they are running out of people to go on them. There are celebs you've never heard of.
3. They have them because they're making money with them and people seem to love them. I watch a few myself and it beats some of the other things that are on tv.
4. Way too out of hand. I don't mind American Idol and stuff like that, but the Bachelor-type shows and anything featuring a celebrity is kind of dumb.
5. they are neither real nor interesting. bunch of whining little wannabes. as a rule the few I have passed by all looked staged.
6. People can say what they want about Reality TV shows like the X factor and American Idol but they've produced proabably some of the best talent this CENTURY! Obviously also a lot of complete jokes and people buying into sob stories far too much but without all the crap we wouldn't have found such amazing talent... Kelly Clarkson Carrie Underwood Leona Lewis Those 3 are without a doubt the best 3 female vocalists to emerge in the last 8 years and they all came from talent shows. They've all proved their worth, hell Kelly & Carrie have 5 Grammy's between them and Leona should get one next year! On the other hand shows which have "celebs" on them are so annoying. But they wouldn't be on TV if people didn't watch, so if you don't like it, don't watch.
