Exhibits, Shows and Displays

What's the best way to get cheap tickets for Broadway shows in NYC?

My top shows are Jersey Boys and Hairspray. I know some shows that are older are easier to get tickets for. But the popular shows are harder to get them from.

  1. try stubhub or Goldstar events
  2. These sites offer discounts for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. You have to join, but membership is free http://www.playbill.com/ http://www.theatermania.com/home/... http://www.broadway.com/
  3. go to tdf.org they have a program where at noon the day you want to see the show people line up to get the unsold ticket of that evening's performances
  4. The TKTS booth in Times Square. Or lotteries/rush policies http://www.playbill.com/news/article/82428.html I've heard rumors that Hairspray doesn't have a lottery anymore, but in the link above it says it still does, so I'm really not sure about that. (Keep in mind these are for day of tickets) Also, look on the Jersey Boys and Hairspray websites for special promotions, etc. Become a member on ticketmaster and other sites like that, and you'll get special pre-ordering privileges and other stuff.
