when did food network become political.?
Tonight they are having that nasty America hating obama woman on the paula dean show, this really shouldn't suprise me as she has also had the worst president ever on, jimmy carter. I used to watch food network for entertainment, if I wanted leftist politics I would turn on CNN. Now I have placed a parental block on that channel because I do not want my children exposed to that kind of person, and will have to call the local cable company to drop that network. Yes my kids really do watch food network, they really loved emeril, but now he is on fine living network, they also like anything with Alton Brown especially Iron Chef

- Poor Paula. I'm afraid someone laced her corn fritters with LSD. Not to worry Rachel Ray has John McCain as her guest, and Rachel is a "real" cook. justagranma: My kids do also, along with Discovery and PBS kids (for their 1 hour of cartoons).
- Unless she had Ronald Reagan on, she didn't have the worst president ever.
- You don't want to watch that's fine, but why do you want to have everyone either agree with you or else? You may not agree with her politics, but why do I have to agree with yours? Personally, I'd like to see less of the preachers with their hands out on TV. But I don't put blocks on it or insist they take them off the channels. If there is one thing that is unamerican, its censorship on political grounds, and guess what, that's what you are asking for. Your kids really watch the food channel?
- Paula's days are limited. She deep fries everything.
- You're indignant when a cooking show host has on a political figure that you disagree with, get all up in arms about preventing your kids from seeing her (do you let them watch the news or do you tell them exactly what to think ?).............and yet your avatar name is go blow me?!?
- Either before of after The Republicans accused Rachel Ray of being a terrorist... ...because God knows The Republicans wouldn't start that kind of thing.
- agrees with Beanie ,
- I don't know they did become political. I am open to all in life. I am so thankful I don't have your judgments. I am a liberal with republicans friend who admire the success my son has had...the difference him him & their kids is that they were like you. They pushed away things that their kids could have excelled in because they judged others so harshly. My son felt free. He can talk to anyone. He has many hispanic friends & works for a huge cont ruction company where my friends talked down about people so much their kids don't feel comfortable...so think for you kids sake as you turn off Paula Deen you are turning off the level of intelligence that your children are allowed to have. We live in a political world. You are putting people in compartments in groups. Jimmy Carter & a wonderful man but you missed that part. I love Paula Deen & don't care what her political views are. My son is 30 now & he has so many talents. He loves watching all of Alton Brown's shows. I wouldn't even know about him. I wonder if you found out he campaigned for Obama would that make you stop learning all the neat things you can learn from his show? You are limiting your children but atleast you are a true conservative.
- Did Dean wear her KKK suit? Anyways hows the health of the Repub party? Figured you should know since you have your head so far up their ass. Dropping a channel over a black christian man who apparently loves america since he's running for president. People like you make me sick to my stomach. Your kids should be exposed to more than Sean Hannity and far right things. I hope you love the economy. Apparently u do sense u wanna keep it down by voting for Mccain.
- Your poor kids. Nothing worse than an overbearing parent imposing his will upon them.
