What exercise shows would be good for me to do in pregnancy?

I like to DVR the fitness shows cause i feel like in winter I am just laying on the couch like a lug. What shows do you like that I could work out with? You know, not super high impact, but get me moving.

  1. Hiya The basic rule of thumb is anything you did before, you can carry on doing it. However, i would avoid super high impact aerobics and stuff. Walking is great, and yoga & pilates are fab whilst preggo. :)
  2. hahah. god i feel just like you. a big ole' lug. ecspecially today..cause i have a cold :( but i do very low impact stuff like take my dog for a walk and low impact floor excercises! and BTW- I LOOOOVE carmen electra's workout tapes. ecspecially disk # 2. i havent done it yet while pregnant (cause im LAZY) but i need to get off my butt and do it..cause its a quick, easy , GREAT WORKOUT <3
  3. All pregnant women should strengthen their deepest abdominal muscle, their Transverse Abdominis, or TvA. This is the body's internal "girdle" and when contracted, compresses the abdominal wall. Strength and functional control of this muscle during pregnancy helps to prevent back pain and diastasis recti (abdominal separation), greatly aids in the pushing stage of labor, and speeds rehab of the abdominal wall after childbirth.   4. I highly recommend this mini trampoline. It's low impact and probably one of the best mini trampolines out there. It doesn't feel like exercise when you're bouncing on it in front of the TV.
