Why did my pumpkin plant make a zukini?
I got the pumpkin seeds(in a pumpkin) from one of those pumpkins you get a one of those roadside stands. I planted it it looked like a pumpkin plant it had pumpkin flowers but when it made the fruit it was a zukini. I do not have any zukinis in my garden. What do you pewople not understand! I said I got them from inside a punpkin I took them out my self!

- You obviously were given zucchini seeds.
- Apparently it was a zucinni seed. Impossible to get a zucinni plant from a pumpkin seed.
- Your pumkini has to do with cross pollination and genetics. The same thing happened to me this year with squash seeds from a squash I bought at a farmers' market last year. To my surprise, I have lots of squash but none that resemble the parent and each one is unique. I thought it would be a great genetics demonstration for a teacher.
