how do i turn a corner desk into a 500kg tolerant aquarium stand?

1. i am not sure if i would use a desk for a stand for such a heavy tank.but if you do make certian that the tank is leveland supported along the bottom evenly
2. Don't do it. 500 kg is what? 1200 pounds? At roughly 8 pounds per gallon you are delaing with what, about 150 gallons? Ok, if these assumptions are even close, your home will not be able to survive the wreck this amount of water makes when your desk fails. Buy the stand rated for your tank(s) - also check your flooring as with this kind of weight you will have to brace it as you would with the older heavy pianos. Now, on the other hand, if you have studied statics and strength of materials in engineering, and you believe you have the talent to make such a modification, ask this question in the other branches of Yahoo Answers.
