Food Network Channel...Who is your favorite chef and why?
I like most of the chefs featured on the show but Paula Deen of "Paula's Home Cooking" is my favorite. She genuinely loves to cook and has wonderful recipes. The thing that makes her show so warm and friendly is that you feel sincerely invited into her home for southern hospitality. I love that southern accent and her giggle is so cute. Her eyes light up when she tastes her dish, knowing her guests will be pleased! I love her excitement. Her sons have a show, "Road Tasted," that is just as fun!

- Right now, it's Michael Chiarello. I don't know why. Probably because he's based near where I live. Paula comes in a very close second. She can even laugh at herself when she puts a pound of butter in something!
- i like giada the best! my mom and i watch her show, everyday italian, almost every day, and we've used so many of her recipes, and theyre always tasty!
- I have to go with two - Alton Brown and George Duran. They both concentrate on classic recipes; AB perfects them; GD thinks of some innovative way to make and present them. I can't think of more entertaining shows to watch than "Good Eats" and "Ham on the Street". I print and cook their recipes all the time and they are superb. Paula Dean would be 3rd on my list because of her attractive personality, and, of course, tasty dishes!
- Rachel Ray is my favorite. She is funny. Her recipes are fast, easy and taste great. My family loves them.
- Paula Dean. Her recipes are easy and they come out just like they are supposed to every time. The ingredients are ingredients that are on hand and easy to find. There is nothing of hers I have ever made that has not tempted my taste bud for more. I have visited Savannah and visited her Restaurant. I have cooked her fried chicken just the way she does with the hot sauce. It is very true that if you do not let it soak you will never know the hot sauce is in there, if you let it soak be prepared for a tingle when you eat it. She is open and heartwarming. When you watch her show she makes you feel like there is nothing she does that you can not do yourself. Unfortunately, I try not to cook too many of her recipes too often. If you ate like that every day you would be in a Cath Lab!
- Its hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to it would be Alton Brown. He makes me laugh and he is a chemist!! He gives the scientific explanations for things which is great for us science geeks!!!
- I will agree with Paula... We made her Ring Tum Diddy recipe for baked potatoes a couple of days and it was to die for
- Rachel Ray she just keeps your attention the entire time and shes fun to watch.
- Oh how to choose just one! I Love Rachael and Giada the best for their recipes. Tyler Florence is a cutie and I love to watch him.
- I'm sorry, but I cannot STAND Paula Deen and her southern cooking. Plus, I don't understand her, anyway, because she says y'all 500 times a minute. Although I agree that the food that she makes looks good, it's calorie and fat-laden. My favorite has to be Rachael Ray, because she seems to know what's she's doing, and she's got her life together, but she also knows how to cook HEALTHY!!! Thanks to Rachael, I know how to make quick and easy meals w/o the intense fat intake.
- Paula Deen and Rachel Ray are the very best. Paula's recipes and wonderful personality make her show great. She genuinely loves cooking, and she cares about people -- it shows in all that she does. Rachel Ray is fun to watch -- she also loves what she does, and it is very evident. She makes me believe I can actually have something better than the typical drive-thru fare. They both inspire me to try new foods and also to be a happier person!
- Rachael Ray. She cooks the way I do, I never use a recipe, more of a method and I never messure. Plus, she cooks real and easy food. I like Alton Brown too, he is very informative and I like his style.
- I love Giada de Laurentiis actually. She's adorable and the stuff she makes is really yummy. I also love Jamie Oliver but it seems like he never comes on anymore. The Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten, is good too. My least favorite is easily Sandra Lee though.
- Emeril Lagasse and Tyler Florence. Paula Deen is good too. I like Paula and Emeril because they cook Southern foods, and I eat Southern food. They give me new ideas on cooking. I like Tyler because he makes great simple recipes and it is easy to learn new techniques from him. He explains things really well. He gives me new ways of cooking my food too.
