- no
- In 15 to 30 years, I think so. Maybe less time than that.
- no internet and phones will replace tvs
- I think eventually there will be one thing to watch TV and have internet..yes
- no.
- Not a Chance...!!
- NOO.
- no by far
- maybe in a couple decades
- hell yeah ! in 10 years or so
- no that wont happen but i personally replaced my telly with youtube cuz i can watch what i want and cuz basic cable sucks.
- Yes, they will. I know this because I traveled into my time machine to find out.
- what websites do you watch online tv on? and no because people wanna watch on huge tvs and not every moniter for computers is an HDTV monitor
- i dont think so because they are investing so much right now into hd tv which you cannot obtain on the internet, but i think that they will eventually have cable for computers and laptops.
- Kinda depends...if TV is gonna be as boring as it is now forever, then maybe it might be replaced...
- Eventually, our monitor in the living space (now known as the TV) will become an extension of our internet lives, and yes, we will begin to watch our entertainment on the big screen
- heII no
- Yes because with T.V you can only watch stuff, but the with internet you can watch stuff, play games, talk to people, etc.
- yea cause der is never anything fun to watch on tv other than saturday nights
- not unless they make a big screen computer to replace big screen tvs so our whole family can sit around it and all be able to see the movie. :)
- I highly doubt it. The tv in America has become the grounds for social gatherings, family time, etc. What would happen to Superbowl parties? or Family Movie night? Or dates on the couch. I can't see all these happening on a computer screen. The t.v. isn't going anywhere.
- NO. When tv was invented, people thought it would totally replace the movie theater and that hasn't happened... there will always be nostalgic folks like me, who enjoy going to the movies, popcorn, etc... Maybe in a couple of centuries... but not any time soon... I think tv will be around for a long time.
- I wouldn't think so. TV is not as unhealthy for you as the Internet & when watching a TV, you can keep a nice distance from the screen & can sit or even lie down on a couch or bed. We all love the Internet, but even I wouldn't want to spend many long hours in front of the screen when I have a life to live in the real world.
- Lol..I seriously doubt that would ever happen!
- no...
- perhaps
- yep i always watch doctor who confidential online
- Probably not. The internet probably beats the tv 8 times over.
- I quess like newspaper isn't replaced with the internet based ones, tv will not be replaced with the internet at all.. but the amount of time that is spent in front of Tv will increase that's a fact ..
- yeah, but it'll take a long time. Since you can watch TV shows and other programmes via the internet now, its looking more and more likely. Although I doubt they will ever COMPLETELY replace them, not everyone uses computers. Plus, some people will use their TVs to watch videos, if anything.
- no
- maybe, who knows?(well i guess thats why you asked the question lol)
- no as many people don't use the Internet, Ann
- no the other way around
- Yes I do. In fact I'd put money on it.
- In due time I think everything will be streamed on the internet so TV's will no longer be needed....
- They are screens so it is just a different format of distribution
- no
- nonononono! i hope not >;[
- I think the internet will replace both phones and TVs within 5 years, maybe less. But that's just my own opinion.
- i agree with you. i tink some day it will be replaced.
- I predict that telephones, computers, television, radio, CD, DVD ,web cams, Internet resources devices, telecommuting, clocks, alarm clocks, books, newspapers, magazines and other such will eventually be replaced with an "all in one" internet device that may even be mobile...but at first fiber optic DSL. And I don't think that will be too far off from now.
- NO!!!!!!!!
- in India, they have recently released 3 minute episodes - which is aceessible on the interent on rajshri.com and youtube.com/rajshri. the same videos can downloaded from Rajshri.com on your cellphones. they have also launched the audiosodes.. something similar to podcasting... They are looking at a whole lot opportunity for new forms of entertainment on the internet!! these will surely prove that people are spending a lot of time on the internet and on their mobile phones
