What else besides shows is there to do and see at Las Vegas when you are 18 at night?

I will be going to Las Vegas with a couple of older friends. But i am 18 and will turn 19 by the time we go. So what else besides watching shows is there to do at night?

  1. Honestly, I know this is not what you want to hear, but you should def wait until you are 21 to go. All your friends are older? They are going to be able to party and you wont. The experience is awesome, but only if you are of age...I would wait♥
  2. well see if u want to have fun give a hotel party
  3. Other than shows there's a few underage clubs. It's kind of lame but Circus Circus has a midway with carnival games.
  4. New York, New York has a huge arcade and a really fun roller coaster. But my favorite thing has been just to walk up and down the strip people watching or seeing the huge light show on Freemont Street. And in the basement of Binions, in the coffee shop, at least a year ago, they offered a $5,99 steak dinner. You can blow most of an evening at one of the big buffets if you have good company. In front of Treasure Island, a couple times per evening there is a big free show. Just staring at the overwhelming in Caesar's Palace is a great think to look at and the canals in the Venetian. And at a big hotel's swimming pool, the babe watching on a hot evening can be a wonder to behold.
  5. Obviously as the hour gets later, the number of things available for someone under 21 get fewer, but, there are still many things for you to do! Rides are always a big hit. There are roller coasters at the New York, New York, Circus Circus, at the "speed" roller coaster at the Nascar Cafe at the Sahara. The top of the Stratosphere has a number of really cool rides if it's not too windy. Big Shot is one of the coolest things I have ever ridden! http://www.johnweeks.com/stuff/vegas/index.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stratosphere_Las_Vegas Speaking of Nascar... that cafe at the Sahara is pretty darn cool. The cyber speedway would be a heck a lot of fun if you had some friends that were into it! http://www.nascarcafelasvegas.com/ If cars are your thing, there is an incredible collection of them located at the Imperial Palace... http://www.autocollections.com/ Do you like Star Trek? (Most people don't), but if you fall into the catagory of sci-fi fan who does, the Las Vegas Hilton is an easy place to burn a few hours with Star Trek Experience... http://www.lvhilton.com/entertainment/startrek.shtml There are ton's of arcades and gamerooms too. Gameworks is a personal fav... http://www.vegas.com/lounge/arcades.html All of these exhibits and shows can "add up", so if money is a big factor, then maybe "free" stuff to see would be better. Even though you can blow through cash pretty easily in Vegas, they are also the king of free things to see. From the Fountains at the Bellagio to the Freemont Street Experience... take your pick. Here is a pretty comprehensive list. Not everying is appopriate for under 21 and not everything is at night, but there is alot to choose from... http://www.vegas4locals.com/free.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2q38iXOigE&feature=related And, of course, FOOD! As you travel the city looking at things, keep your eyes peeled for low priced Buffets and Meal Deals. Prime Rib dinners are a personal favorite of mine! The buffet at Harrah's is well worth it too. Just be prepared to stand in line a bit for that one. http://www.vegasbuffets.com/ Walking from place to place will burn lots of time and can be tiring, but walking will give you the chance to see things you probably never thought of, nor have I mentioned here. Just stay in well lighted public areas on the main strip. A block or two the wrong direction and Vegas can get dark and scary in a hurry, especially late at night. Walking not your thing? Busses run all night and are pretty reasonable. The Vegas Monorail is also a good way to make it from one end of the strip to the other and it's kind of fun to ride. All day and extened passes are available. Just don't try to cheat the system by handing passes to a friend, the system is too smart for that and you'll get caught! http://www.lvmonorail.com/ If you have money to burn, then the the sky's the limit, quite literally...75$ will get you the flight of your life... http://www.lasvegasgrandcanyontour.com/helicopter/las-vegas-night-flight-tour.htm Want to cruise the stip in a Limo?... http://shop.vegas.com/tours/tours.jsp?loc=strip So, okay, if I haven't bored you to death, hopefully I have given you a few ideas! Vegas is a cool town. I've been there many times, for many reasons. I was even married in Vegas. But at 19, I'd avoid that one! Cheers
  6. My kids grew up in Vegas so I know a little. They liked to go bowling and play pool. There a few pool halls in Vegas and more bowling alleys. For instance at the Rio, they have Lucky Strike Lanes. Other hotels have them too. You can to Malibu Grand Prix. It's off the 95 freeway and Lake Mead. There's an arcade there too.
  7. These three venue offer SOME shows for 18 & older. The Joint (Inside the Hard Rock Hotel Casino) House of Blues (Inside Mandalay Bay) Jillians (Downtown) [ Kind of a gaming place like Dave & Buster's] You are allowed to watch these adult shows: Cirque's Zumanity (over 18) Chippendales, The Show (Rio All-Suite) (over 18) - You just can't drink afterwards.
  8. You can see a movie, go to Adventure Dome Circus Circus (indoor amusement park), Shark Reef, ride the three rides 101 stories on top of Stratosphere, ride Scream rollercoaster at NYNY, enjoy a buffet, or leave the Strip and go to Orleans or South Point for movie and bowling. The major portions of the entertainment are for people 21 plus. Sorry
  9. strip club.
  10. I always have fun sneaking into places. At Mandalay Bay try getting into Mix Night Club. Or at Ceasers its easy to get into their club from outside. lol im only 17
  11. My favorite thing to do is stand in front of the Belagio (or any other hotel/casino) and just watch all the drunk people walk/limp around. haha
  12. if you drink, get them to get some alcohol and drink it in the room. walk around the strip drunk and see where that takes you! haha if you are a risk taker, play some slots. when i went, they never carded! a security guard even stood right behind me watching me play video blackjack.. and didn't ask anything! but that's just me, i had a great time going with my older friends. although being 21 could help so much more because of the clubs and not having to worry about being carded
