How can I get a coupon book or free tickets to shows and other events in Las Vegas?
We will arrive in Las Vegas on Saturday. We really don't have an agenda, but we have an idea of what we want to do. We are not gamblers, so there will be a very minimal amount of money put into the slot machines. We know we want to try some restaurants and sight-see. We are going to do one of the Lake Mead tours. We are going to see a show or two. But my husband read somewhere on the internet that you can get free tickets to shows and events in Las Vegas. He saw something that said if you go listen to one of those time-share meetings, you will get free tickets. Is there a way I can contact these places in advance? Any insight you may have would be greatly appreciated!

- just walk around the strip. you will be harrassed constantly by people offering you passes and tickets to shows and clubs etc. some of my friends did start to go to a time share mtg but then got scared and jumped out of the car. those things will probably get you free tickets or whatever they are offering, but then you waste half of your day or all of it, in a meeting for time share that you probably aren't going to buy into.
- Don't do it. If you do attend one of those timeshare presentations you will add to your "worst day of my life" list. Not worth the hassle. Stop in one of the visitor stations and pick up all the coupons and literature you need. WARNING: The people who work there are also recruiters for those timeshares so just say NO to them. They are like bugs .. they are everywhere and bother you at every turn. The worse phrase you will hear .. and you will hear it all the time ... How long are you going to be here. Answer with ... leaving tonight. Trust me on this one.
- Ouch timeshare presentation in return for worst seat in the house show tickets do not do it as said all ready you dont need to contact these people they will annoy you enough on your own. These presentations are about 4 hours long whatever you budget do you want to give up Vegas time for this ? You can get disounted tickets at the ticket booths by Riviera, outside fashion show mall and in the showcase mall and there is plenty of stuff to see for free but if you are not playing you will not get much off of the hotels but you will still have a great time of that I have no doubt, but notif you see the timeshare sharks
- well you could bid on some books/tickets/club passes on ebay (but thats not "free" lol). or in vegas youll prob run into promoters on the streets or at the bars, etc that will give you free stuff. another GREAT place are concierges but tip well! i believe all if not most hotels give out coupon books, i know circus circus and stratosphere give out HUGE coupon books but theyre only for stuff in their hotel, which isnt bad i'd say. If you reserve stratosphere online, they give u coupon book PLUS free passes to the observatory tower (like 1000feet tall), its nice and plus its worth $13/person so you save $26 right away (our room was only $30/on a wed night last week). so check there. its not the best luxury but best deal on the strip. there are also plenty of 50% off booths on the strip youll get your hands onto and OH, theres vegas magazines and booklets everywhere that have coupons and deals also. research ahead, theres even coupons online that u can print depending on the hotel/hotels and oh cant forget free entertainment. from pirate shows, circus, mirage volcano, gardens, vegas has it! www.cheapovegas.com i use that site a lot. have fun in vegas! i went last week and im goin back next weekEND!
- yikes... we did a timeshare thing on our first trip to Vegas (didn't know any better) ... we got free tickets to Imperial palace buffet and Legends in concert... two of the worst options in town! NOT WORTH WASTING HALF A DAY IN HELL!! If you still want to try it, they have timeshare people at almost every casino door... you won't have a hard time finding them!! they make you give them a deposit (i think $50 dollars - to make sure you don't blow them off, or leave halfway through the presentation) When you go, don't show any tiny bit of intrest, or you will NEVER leave (we were there for 4 1/2 hours... didn't wanna loose my $50 dollars, lol plus we were in the middle of who knows where...) ... just let them know you went for the free stuff - apparently ppl do it all the time... if I've scared you off yet.. when they come up to you - just say NO THANKS, LEAVING TONIGHT -
- Forget the timeshares. There are lots of coupons and ways to get free stuff in Las Vegas. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/free-stuff.html
- Most of the shows that are free are hotel lounge acts. Most of the shows with headliners in Las Vegas are not free. George Wallace is at the Flamingo @ $78 per ticket. Why was your time listening to a timeshare to get free tickets, just take the money you are going to save by not gambling, and pay for a nice show to make your trip memorable.
- Listen to lvgeno. He has it down pat. A friend did one of those condo tours. It wasted most of their day they were bored stiff and the tickets they got for the show were terrible with an obstructed view. You may get lucky with the seats, but why waste a good portion of your day when you can have a great day and buy your tickets to the show at night. Just when you are asked about these tours just say you are leaving later that day. Don't let the main vacation memory being bored to tears and wasting a day of your trip.
