Were is the best hotel to stay in las vegas? what are some of the shows that we must see and why?

To whom it may concern, Some friends and I are looking to take my sister to las vegas in october for her birthday. This will be the first time any of us have been to Las Vegas. We are just going for a weekend and have no time to waste. We are all college students so our funding is limited. It will be five girls so we need a cheap place to stay but we are looking to stay on the strip. We all have different likes but gambling is not first on our list. We are into shoping, shows, CLUBS, and any other cool things to do in the "city of sin". So if someone has any clue of where we can stay and where we can play please answer my question. Thanks in advance, What happen in Vegas stays in Vegas

  1. The cheapest hotels on the strip are Excalibur and Circus Circus. Girls can usually get into the clubs for free and there are many within walking distance of the two hotels I mentioned. The piano bar at New York/New York is my favorite place to go on the strip. Most shows that are good will start at $80 and what you will want to see depends on your tastes - there will be plenty of propaganda pushed in your face once you get there. Also, make sure you get down to Fremont Street (Old Strip) for at least a couple hours. They have a light show once every hour.
  2. The best hotel is right by the greyhound bus station. It cheap and you save a lot of money. It like 40.00 a night and when you leave they give you back 20.00 of that. So it about 20.00 a night. If your looking to spend a little money then stay at the Mirage. Its right in the middle of everything and it the really nice.
  3. I go to Vegas at least twice a year.In the winter and summer and each time I go I stay at diffrent hotels to finally decide on my favorite. On the main Strip the Aladdin is a reasonable hotel and Downtown the Golden Nugget is a GREAT HOTEL. Both are 4 stars and have a nice vibe. There are plenty malls and shops in Vegas. Ceasars Place has great shops and free shows in the lobby. Check out their sites. Good Luck.
  4. Check out a2zlasvegas.com and lasvegasadvisor.com web sites lots of goot ratings and info.
  5. I agree, Circus Circus and the Exalabler are inexpensive places to stay. You may want to check out the Star Dust. I've staye at all of these and have found the rooms to be clean and comfortable, but may be dated. I haven't gone, but Thunder From Down Under is a Male review show. I've heard some good things about it. I would suggest taking in as many shows as your budget allows, and different ones. See Jubilee or Splash, those are "Vegas" all the way. "O" is also very good but expensive. Research the comedy clubs, sometimes they are good, sometimes not. Do check out Vegas.com or Lasvegasshows.com for great information. Keep your gambling budget tight, casinos are in the business to win! There is so much more to do than gambling. HAVE FUN!
