How do I find out the Las Vegas shows in August 08?

It seems nothing is that far out yet. I get there August 2nd.

  1. Wow ! I live here and didn't realize the schedules weren't that far in advance. Let me see what I can find out next week and I'll post it to you.
  2. www.pollstar.com
  3. For Las Vegas shows & events http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/shows.cfm Enter the dates you are interested in. You can also narrow your search down by type of show or event. ~Jack~
  4. Usually they only book the shows 90 days prior to the performance.
  5. There are 2 types of shows in Vegas: production (regularly scheduled shows) and concerts that are one night or limited engagement. The regularly scheduled shows can be booked well in advance since there are understudies to take over roles should the regular star be sick or out for some reason. These are the shows like Phantom, Mamma Mia!, Jersey Boys (opening 4/10) etc. Most of the other shows like Penn and Teller, Carrot Top, George Wallace, etc are also fairly regular and predictable although Penn and Teller has just changed their nights. You can book these type of shows well in advance. There are some in-between acts that are hard to describe. Barry Manilow if often at the Hilton but not consistently. David Copperfield at the MGM has extended runs but with long intervals in between. Cher/Elton John/Bette Midler are not quite as predictable at Caesars, either. Limited run concerts, usually one night are the hardest to predict. If you like a particular act try their specific website which often has engagements further out than what the venues like to advertise. If you look at the websites with very complete listings of concerts on them like searchlasvegasshows.com or vegasmadeeasy.com you will notice that they have lots of listings but not that far out. Seachlasvegasshows.com only has about 40 concerts in August as of now. There are 2 sites that have a few far distant show schedules. One of them is searchlasvegasshows.com and another is accessvegas.com. George Carlin should be at the Orleans and Jerry Seinfeld should be at Caesars during that time but expect a lot of additions and some cancellations. By the way, lasvegasadvisor.com uses vegas.com as the booking agent. You can also go directly to vegas.com and get the same information and same tickets. However, if you want the longer term schedules try these 2 sites instead.
