My 20GB Ipod displays a batt which doesnt charge when I connect it to my laptop. What could be the problem?

At times it turns on and syncs with itunes, then it suddenly stops and says that there's not enough batt and I need to connect it to a power source (in my case, a laptop) which doesnt seem to work. As I've said, it displays a batt which isnt charging.

1. seems like the battery cannot hold any more charge. you might wanna get a new one here: http://www.ipodjuice.com or just get one of the new ipods
2. The fact its an ipod explains everything. Anyway, You may need to reset it or replace it. I don't know much, but my zen did that once. And i just reset it.
