What does it mean when a car radio displays "SEC"?

I recently bought a 6 yr old second hand Toyota Scarlett and everything was fine at first but the other day I had it serviced and the battery was disconnected. Now the radio only displays "SEC" and doesn't respond to anything else.

  1. find an owners manual for the car , the stereo has a theftlock feature you have to reset. the procedure is in the manual or take it to the toyota dealer and they can help you reset it. you need special codes
  2. it's football time in the south east
  3. This is a code protected radio. You will need the security access code in order to unlock it. If it is the factory radio, and the previous owner did not change the code, you can access the code for that vehicle from a Toyota dealership by giving them the VIN number. You will have to pay for this, and if the previous owner changed the access code, it is not going to help. If music is that important, I would suggest replacing it with an aftermarket radio.
