When did the first inflight passenger flight information displays appear?
I would like to know when things such as position, altitude, speed, etc were first shown automatically on inflight TV displays for the passengers. I would also like to know when were camera systems first attached to commercial airlines where the passengers could see a landing. Thank you.

- The first IFE systems started appearing as early as the late 1920's with movies and later crude TV systems. The systems as you know them started appearing in the late 1950's and 60's.IFE(Inflight Entertainment Systems for passengers) is a grow industry and selling point for airlines now and they are constantly changing and being upgraded with information being stored on hard disks, satellite, and camera systems.
