How can you record cable TV shows on the computer? If the computer has antenna?

Is there anyway to record tv shows on the computer? If there isn't any connectors on the computer, for the box. We have an Input thing here on the computer, would that work? One video and 2 audio, I'm I able to just hook up the cable to that? Someone here got the Media center, and I know you can record tv that way. will it work on xp?

1. Hello beckestr, It can be done but you need a video card for your computer. Then you will hook a TV cable into the video card. The video card will come with the software you need. Go to Best Buy or Circuit City to get a card. Norm

3. you need what is called a tv tuner not a video card. and you can purchase it at you local computer store
