Text message tooltip in Messenger displays private phone #?

My friend I chat with on Messenger keeps her mobile # private. I noticed while we were chatting that if I hover my mouse over the SEND TEXT MESSAGE icon right next to the DISPLAY ICON then a tooltip pops up saying "Send a text message to xxx-xxx-xxxx" where instead of xxx's it actually displays her private phone number. I told her about it showing her phone # and she was shocked.... She has gone into her profile and account settings and there is no phone number listed for her in either of them. We can't locate any way to disable this display of her phone #. She does not recall ever giving her phone # to Yahoo. Does anyone know how to disable the phone number display in this tooltip?

1. As you have find yourself that there is no option available for mobile device settings in the preferences, so I suggest your friend to sign out her mobile device (from messenger menu) and then leave it for a day and sign back in the next day. I'm sure this will work for you guys. Good luck!
