aquarium stand?

my local fish store sold me a stand made of iron for my 29 gallon tank. they said it would hold my tank full and everything i was just curious as if i should take it back? it only supports the weight of the edges of the fish tank. It only has supports on the sides of the tank, none run through the middle. it seams strong on the sides, but is it okay to set a full 29 gallon tank on something like this with nothing holding it in the middle of the tank? thanks

  1. my tank just supports the edges, but you could always out some plywood under if it makes you more comforable
  2. If you have a glass tank you will be fine, but acrylic needs to have support under the entire tank.
  3. It should be fine - the tank is fairly heavy but the weight is dispursed over a wide area. I wouldnt worry.
