What is the proper orientation of landscape exhibits in a report? If you've got a report with the text pages in the portrait orientation, which way should the landscape exhibits go? Should the top-right corner of the landscape exhibit match up with the top-left corner or the bottom-right corner of the portrait page? I have my preference and a good reason but is there an MLA (or some other association) ruling on this? I work in the engineering field and there are many, many reports/information packets involved and a small percentage of people orient the landscape exhibits with the top-right corner aligned with the bottom-right corner of the portrait pages. I know that this is not the preferred way but I'm looking for some type of official rule from the MLA style (or a comparable association). See, with engineers, you need to show them a published rule before they'll agree that they did something wrong.

What bones are whole skeleton fossil exhibits usually missing? For instance, I saw this whole bear skeleton exhibit along with a whole saber toothed cat skeleton exhibit. But I noticed that there was a missing bone that should have been where the rib cages are. I suspect that the sternum of both are missing, but am not sure if this is common at all. Is it common for whole animal skeletons to be missing the sternum? Thank you so much. I greatly appreciate it.

Can anyone give me a list of 20th century artifacts or cultural exhibits? This is for research for my novel. Artifacts and cultural exhibits like you would find in world-renowed museums here and abroad. A good list would be around 10, with some background information, or a link to list them would be great. I've asked a similar question to this in August about 25 artists and their paintings. (I'm not sure what category this would fit under.)
Building exhibits at a natural history museum? What path should I follow if I want to participate in building exhibits for a natural history museum, as a part/full time job at the museum itself. Should I study arts and crafts? I already have grade in graphic design. And I'm quite handy. I always wanted to work there, just because I like old dinosaur bones, and I'd like to build up the dino's and like take care of the diorama's and such.
Can you write a function in two variables that exhibits chaotic behaviour? I recall analysis of the Newton-Raphson method for iteratively solving polynomials - depending on the initial value chosen, the equation would 'home in' on a function. At certain values, f(a), the equation would head off to inifity, and for infinitesimally different values to this, f(a ± δa), a solution would be found. Can you list any others functions that exhibit chaos in two variables?
Will the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science display more exhibits in the future? I enjoy the museum website, but I want the center to display more natural and international items of nature besides local specimens. For instance, they can have exhibits that deal with plants and animals of a tropical rainforest and/or Eastern US region. Also, I would like for the museum to have some dinosaur skeletons and more prehistoric fossil displays in their collections.

B) Any children this individual has will always exhibit the trait, regardless of the genotype of the other parent. C) Both parents of this individual had the same genotype for this trait. D) Any siblings of this individual will have the same phenotype for this trait. E) The phenotype for this trait is different from the phenotype of the homozygous dominant genotype for this trait.
Are there any juried art exhibits i can enter on long island? I am 16 and live on long island. I am a painter and love displaying my work and would love to sell it. I want to get my art "out there" but don't know how. Are there any juried art competitions i can enter. Or maybe a gallery willing to show my work. Is there someone i can speak to to get into a gallery. I appreciate any help. THANK YOU!
How can you tell if a substance exhibits resonance? Basically I have a list of several substances, like CH_4 and NO_2 (-1 charge on the NO_2). Can someone explain to me what resonance is, and how I can figure out if these things exhibit it? Note: Underscore means a subscript (my computer won't do it right)
In a sentence, explain whether the galaxy exhibits a redshift or a blueshift? A certain spectral line of hydrogen gas has a wavelength of 434.2 nm when measured in the laboratory. In the spectrum of a particular distant galaxy, this same spectral line has a wavelength of 455.9 nm. In order to demonstrate the learning outcomes fully in this question you must show all your working throughout.
Chicago late night Art galleries and exhibits? Can anybody suggest some art exhibits and galleries in Chicago that are open past 10pm. Also, if anybody knows where I can find listings for art exhibits and galleries that would be great.
What would you do if your in a street fight and your opponent exhibits amazing foot skill on you!? This is pretending your an average street fighter who has minor skill in boxing if that. Im curious cause during a fight your not completely empty of thought cause u can still notice things like your opponent being able to send you flying with minor hits. and the more an enemy understands this the more there shaken and confused. What I also meant was that they arent flying around but there using some pretty quick and decent side kicks, crescent kicks, axe kicks round houses and back kicks in repetition combination.
How do I design exhibits at museums? I don't want to be the curator. I would like to stay away from dealing with the artifacts themselves, but rather I want to bot create the manner in which they are presented and execute its presentation.

Explain how this exhibits courage and bravery? You watched a shy coworker have a severe asthma attack while at work. You watched her fighting for each breath until the ambulance came to take her to the hospital. She was out for a few days and then returned to work. She's always been quiet and fairly shy, but her first day back she didn't seem like herself. She obviously has not recovered completely yet and is still a little sick and worn out. Explain how coming back to work shows that she exhibits courage and bravery.
Why is it that the Bush administration exhibits a trenchant? animosity toward anything even remotely associated with evolution, that this administration condones environmental practices that alter the genetic make-up of feed animals, which thereby cause evolution in a different way, yet its adherents deny evolution?
What's the least complex organism known to man that exhibits signs of a social self-awareness? Anti-social predators don't count, unfortunately, as social awareness is a required condition for the question I'm seeking an answer on. Please permit me to specify - I'm looking for -multicellular- organisms. Good answers to start with. Okay, let me narrow it down a bit. I'm looking for multicellular organisms with some form of "culture". Bees actually could qualify - I don't know enough about them to say they don't - but I define culture in an organism as behavior that is not genetically induced but rather inherited in some manner utilizing socialization skills. The bees do a dance, a sort of code to indicate where the good flowers are. If that dance varies from generation to generation like languages with humans, I would certainly consider that to be the type of self-awareness I had in mind. Other than that, dolphins teaching their children how to use sponges to avoid getting stung and monkeys learning how to wash their fruits and vegetables by watching humans do it - that would be the type of thing I was initially thinking about.
Why would people be against plasticized corpse exhibits? Plasticize corpse, are those donated body organs preserved to use in an art exhibit. What are the CON about ? Besides, that they used stolen body parts for the museum? if have any link about this, please send me. Thank you!

Have you ever been judged poorly by someone who regularly exhibits poor judgment? Perhaps that person wears nasty looking shoes, because he can't tell sh** from shinola. Has a teacher ever slapped your hand with a ruler for being unruly? Did you ever put your shorts on the wrong way because you got the color code backwards? Do you have the gift of gab, and have tried to B.S. a B.S.'er? Do you think Christmas will come and the Sci-Fi channel will still think its Halloween? Do you ever wonder why some people just don't shut-up and go to bed?
What is the term given to an entity that exhibits Life but is actually unliving ? If the description of Life as we know it, can be explained in this Wikipedia article I have found: "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life". Then what word or term can be used to describe what is actually happening within the "Internet" ?, Could not the internet itself become some sort of living, intellegent, reproducing, self aware, have the ability to adapt system that tends to respond to changes in it's own environment, and inside itself, in such a way as to promote it's own continuation ? Of course it's artificial intelligence. I've already noted that in the question. But what is it exactly, If it isn't Life as we know it ? Again reproduction has been covered in original question. As in reproduction of subprogramming and subscripts and such.
What to do if your dog exhibits bloody diarrhea...? and you don't have enough money for a vet bill? If you send him to a shelter as a last resort could they cite you for animal cruelty since you can't afford to take him to a vet? Some of you posters should calm down and not be so quick to assume awful things about me because of a QUESTION. I asked about a dead puppy because I'm curious to know what would happen in that situation, not because my puppy has died. It does have the diarrhea though, and I don't have any money. The dog was actually bought with my husband who has all the control of the money. Right now we are in a bad marriage and he refuses to take the dog to the vet leaving me with that responsibility. Since our money is separate and my account is less than $100, I can't afford to do it by myself, hence the consideration of giving it away to a shelter. And my concern about SPCA stems from having that situation before from some I guess jealous neighbor. The person that came to our house even said the dog and its environment was fine. This happened with the last dog that we ended up selling.

Why is it that there are no exhibits of european history or culture displayed in the AMNH? In the Natural History Museum i have not seen anything on European history in the culture exhibits. Come someone explain why? Michael, you silly billy, the AMNH has exhibits of all things, from nature to astronomy to Culture. You must not have been there but trust me its there. They have the history of all these cultures in Asia the Americas and Africa on display but nothing on European culture and its beginnings.
Is there a name of some psychological disorder for a person who exhibits these traits? He was neglected and abused by his Mother. She had electro shock therapy which changed her personality when he was six. She later told him that she never loved him and saw no good in him. She beat him and dominated and controlled him until he ran away at 16. He never did connect to her emotionally, he never felt accepted or loved or validated by her. He married at 23. The woman he married fulfilled the Mother role for him for twenty years. She never did satisfy his yearning to be loved and accepted, divorcing him after twenty years. He married the day his divorce was final. That marriage was annulled after 5 weeks, the woman was bi polar. He married again to a woman he met on a phone chat line without dating or meeting first, marrying her the day they first met in person. He rapidly connects emotionally with women. He is very intelligent, charming and loving. All of the many women he has met report they feel smothered by him. The healthy ones break away from him quickly. Whadya think? He is gainfully employed, earns good money and is good looking. He very easily charms women, many of them falling quickly in love with him because of his attentive kindness, sweetness, good sense of humor, affectionate nature, generosity, intelligence, strong ability to connect emotionally, has a vast vocabulary of "feeling " and "emotional" words. He very quickly backs away from them when criticized or he feels threatened in any way, such as when he feels he may be abandoned by them, abandoning them first. He can easily drop them, often changing his phone number to avoid dealing with the instant breakup which he has initiated. He has a lifelong eating disorder, having been obese then quickly losing the weight, back to normal size many times in his life. He has had a porn addiction, drug addiction and tobacco addiction. He has a strong desire to break this lifelong pattern. He is a good man, just messed up in his head.
How would you derive the mass transfer model for a device that exhibits both adsorption and absorption? We are designing a device that will adsorb the CO2(g) from the gas stream that leaves a house through a chimney. Our device is a cylindrical canister that is filled with stacked activated charcoal discs that will have drilled holes through it. Every other disc will be rotated 90 degrees so that the gas stream will go through a hole in 1 disc and hit a solid surface at the next disc, which will then bounce back on the other solid surfaces and eventually will manage to diffuse through the system. We do not have any experimental data since this is a theoretical design, so we would like to know how to derive a mass transfer model for our system. If possible, if there is a way to derive the mass transfer coefficient/correlation, dimensions of our device, and if the potential resistance of the device is too strong so that the flue gas will end up being unable to escape through the chimney, we would greatly appreciate your help.
Parallelism in history as expressed through art exhibits:? I think this is the theme I'm going to base my final research paper for my Art History class on, w the parallelism being between the current exhibit at LACMA titled Phantom Sightings: Art After the Chicano Movement about the attempts of undocumented immigrants to cross into the States & the art work & exhibits at the Checkpoint Charlie Mauer Museum about people crossing over from East Berlin before the wall got torn down. Can anyone suggest other examples? Please include links. Also, does anyone know where I can find more art work about the Berlin Wall either online or at exhibits in LA? I don't think I'll be able to make it back to Berlin before the paper is due next month! : ) If you're interested in checking out the exhibits, here are the links: http://www.lacma.org/ http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=109&STORY=/www/story/03-31-2008/0004783279&EDATE= http://www.mauer-museum.com/english/frame-index-mauer.html I'd be so grateful for feedback. Gracias / Danka

Which of the following exhibits the greatest paramagnetism? Which of the following exhibits the greatest paramagnetism? A. N2- B. B2 C. N2 D. C2- E. B2+ If you could also explain paramagnetism in a nut shell also, that would be great. I understand the "theoretical" concept, however how do you apply it to solving problems. How many unpaired electrons in the molecular or atomic orbitals does an element have to have in order to be considered paramagnetic? I know oxygen can be paramagnetic but I believe liquid nitrogen is not. I am just a bundle of confusion at the moment haha. Any help would be so great appreciated : )!
Dilemma at the local fair! We like rides, they like exhibits! Will it work? My boyfriend and I are going to the local fair this year with another couple we're friends with and we have a bit of a dilemma.... Me and my bf are HUGE ride fanatics when it comes to the fair! However, the friends we'll be going with this year aren't very much for rides and would rather look at the exhibits and eat the whole time. Don't get me wrong! My bf and I like looking at the exhibits too.... just not the whole time, you know? I'm just worried that maybe our interests will clash. Also, we won't be able to go on a weekend because we all have very conflicting schedules when it comes to work. At first I thought perhaps we could look at the exhibits and then ride the rides, but that wouldn't work because the other couple doesn't like to ride the rides! Any suggestions? Once again, we can't go on a weekend. We can only go after 5 on a weekday because of work scheduling conflicts.
What do you think of "bodies" exhibits? Why do some people like those exhibits of actual dead bodies? What is so interesting about it? I really would like to know why people like something so disturbing and morbid.

In a molecule in which the central atom exhibits sp3d2 hybrid orbitals, the electron pairs are directed toward the corners of: (A) a tetrahedron (B) a square-based pyramid (C) a trigonal bipyramid (D) a square (E) an octahedron Someone told me that it was E) an octahedron but I don't understand why. Can someone else why it's an octahedron and not any of the others? I'm confused...thanks so much.
